Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced a new S AMT variant to its Hyundai Aura lineup, starting at ₹8.07 lakh (ex-showroom). This advanced mid-spec model bridges the gap between the manual and higher trims, offering enhanced comfort, performance, and safety.
Under the hood, the Hyundai Aura is powered by a 1.2-liter Kappa petrol engine, delivering 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a five-speed manual or an AMT configuration, while a CNG variant with a manual gearbox generates 69 PS and 95.2 Nm of torque.
Key upgrades in the S AMT variant include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist control (HAC), and a highline tire pressure monitoring system. Additional highlights like LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) and electronically folding ORVMs with integrated turn indicators further enhance the package.
The rising demand for automatic transmission options in the compact sedan segment prompted Hyundai to introduce the Aura S AMT. According to Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director & COO of Hyundai Motor India, “Our mission is to make smart mobility accessible by introducing advanced AMT technology to cater to a broader audience.”
To top it off, the Hyundai Aura S AMT is approximately ₹70,000 pricier than the S MT but still more affordable than automatic base versions of competitors such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze. Packed with best-in-class features that emphasize comfort and performance, the Aura S AMT delivers unmatched value in its segment.
