The wait is over! Starting today, pre-bookings for the highly anticipated VinFast VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs are open in India. With their launch timed perfectly for the festive season, VinFast aims to capture attention in the EV market with these cutting-edge vehicles.
VinFast, the Vietnamese automaker, has been quick to establish a strong base in India. Collaborating with 13 dealer groups, the company has already set up 32 showrooms across 27 cities, focusing on major urban hubs and emerging EV-friendly markets. By the end of 2025, the network is expected to grow to 35 dealerships, ensuring a wider reach for prospective buyers.
Ahead of this milestone, the automaker has been taking significant steps. The VF 6 and VF 7 models, which are locally assembled in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, were recently showcased during an 11-city nationwide road tour. The two EVs were initially unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi, generating widespread interest and buzz. To further ensure reliability, the cars have been undergoing road tests across India, setting the stage for their festive season debut.

Among the two models, the VinFast VF 7 stands out with its sleek, coupe-inspired roofline, flush door handles, full-width LED tail lamp bar, and striking 19-inch alloy wheels. Its dimensions (measuring 4,545 mm long, 1,890 mm wide, and 1,636 mm tall) cater to those seeking a spacious yet premium electric SUV.
The VF 7 offers two drivetrain options. The front-wheel-drive version, likely priced at around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), is equipped with a 75.3 kWh battery producing 201 hp and 309 Nm of torque, offering a WLTP-certified range of 451 km per charge. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant, boasting 348 hp and 499 Nm, provides a range of 431 km and is expected to cost closer to Rs 30 lakh. Notably, the model comes loaded with features like a panoramic glass roof, advanced Level 2 ADAS, and a sophisticated touchscreen interface.

The compact VinFast VF 6 offers a compelling mix of power and efficiency. Its 59.6 kWh battery works in tandem with a single motor that generates 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque, delivering smooth acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 8.9 seconds. Certified by WLTP standards, the VF 6 boasts a maximum range of 480 km per charge, making it an ideal option for urban commuters and long-distance drivers alike.
