A Weekend of Racing Highlights

Race 1 Recap

Kicking off Saturday’s race, Philippe Prette started strong from pole position. Dominating through to the mandatory pit stops, Prette showed exceptional skill despite being overtaken by a Pro driver with just five minutes remaining. He crossed the finish line second overall but secured a well-earned win in the Am Cup class.

The Maserati GT2 number 7, driven initially by Pampanini, faced early challenges as he lost grip defending his position, dropping to tenth. However, Calamia’s remarkable recovery effort showcased true racing grit, boosting the overall team performance.

Sunday’s race was yet another feather in Maserati’s cap. Starting from fifth and sixth positions, Calamia quickly maneuvered into fourth, showcasing sheer determination. Following a driver change, Pampanini seized the opportunity from a competitor’s pit issue, claiming second and defending it with precision for a Pro-Am podium achievement. Prette delivered unwavering skill, leading Race 2 from pole to claim another commanding victory in the Am Cup.
