Honda Cars India has turned up the style on its popular compact sedan, launching a sophisticated new Crystal Black Pearl color for the third-generation Amaze. This deep, lustrous black finish is designed to amplify the car’s premium character and give it a more commanding road presence, directly appealing to a new generation of buyers seeking a blend of sophistication and sportiness.
The move taps into a growing trend where black has become the color of choice for young, aspirational drivers. It signifies a shift towards bold, confident aesthetics, making the Amaze a stronger style statement than ever before.
A trusted name for first-time car owners, young professionals, and small families, the Honda Amaze continues to be a formidable player in its segment. It’s powered by a reliable 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, offering the choice of a 5-speed manual transmission or a smooth CVT automatic. The sedan is renowned for its impressive fuel economy, returning up to 18.65 kmpl for the manual and 19.46 kmpl for the automatic variant.
Beyond style and efficiency, the Amaze packs a serious technological punch. It holds the distinction of being India’s most affordable passenger car equipped with Honda SENSING. This advanced suite of driver-assist features (ADAS) includes capabilities like collision mitigation braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist, offering an exceptional level of safety for its class.
Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India, commented on the launch, stating, “The Amaze has always connected with young Indians who desire a car that is stylish, dependable, and offers great value. The Crystal Black Pearl color introduces a modern, assertive option that aligns perfectly with their evolving preferences. It elevates the car’s premium feel, making it an even more attractive proposition for those who want their vehicle to make a distinct impression.”
In more good news for potential buyers, the Honda Amaze is poised to become even more accessible. The upcoming ‘GST 2.0’ reforms are expected to place the sedan in a lower tax slab, which will significantly reduce its ex-showroom price in the near future. This anticipated price cut is set to bolster the car’s value proposition dramatically.
The Amaze is currently offered in three main trims (V, VX, ZX) with optional Elite Packs, with prices ranging from ₹ 8.14 lakh to ₹ 11.24 lakh (ex-showroom). With the addition of the new shade, customers can now choose from a total of eight expressive colors, including Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, and Obsidian Blue Pearl.
