Indian electric vehicle pioneer Ultraviolette has officially launched the X47 Crossover, a highly anticipated adventure tourer that brings groundbreaking technology to the market. With a starting price of ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom), the X47 is poised to challenge conventional petrol-powered adventure bikes. In a special introductory offer, the first 1,000 customers can own one for an even more attractive ₹2.49 lakh. Bookings are now open, with the first deliveries scheduled to begin in October 2025.
The X47 Crossover marks a significant evolution from the ‘X’ concept displayed at EICMA 2024, transforming a visionary design into a production-ready machine. It enters the arena as a technologically advanced option for riders seeking versatility and cutting-edge safety.
A New Standard in Rider Safety with Hypersense Radar
The most headline-grabbing feature of the X47 Crossover is its segment-first radar technology, a system rarely found on motorcycles at this price point. Dubbed ‘Hypersense,’ this 77GHz rear-facing radar is designed to significantly boost a rider’s spatial awareness on the road.

The system provides a comprehensive 150-degree horizontal and 68-degree vertical field of view, tracking objects from up to 200 meters away. Its primary function is to monitor blind spots. If a vehicle is detected, the system alerts the rider through visual warnings on the 5-inch TFT display and via integrated light strips on the mirrors. This same technology also scans for hazards during lane changes, warning of rapidly approaching vehicles from the rear. Furthermore, the radar includes a rear collision detection feature that can automatically trigger the hazard lights and display urgent warnings if it calculates an imminent risk.
Beyond radar, Ultraviolette has integrated a dual-camera dashcam system that records 1080p video with a 120-degree view. A secondary display above the main cluster allows riders to view footage directly. The bike comes with 32GB of storage, expandable up to 256GB. Standard rider aids include three-level traction control, dual-channel ABS, and dynamic stability control, while an onboard eSIM keeps the bike connected for tracking and security alerts.
Performance and Hardware Built for Exploration

The X47 Crossover inherits its proven powertrain from the F77 sport bike. Buyers can choose between two battery options: a 7.1kWh pack offering a 211 km IDC range and a more powerful 10.3kWh unit that extends the range to 323 km. The top-end model delivers a peak output of 40.2 hp and a substantial 100 Nm of torque, resulting in brisk acceleration: 0-60 kph in just 2.7 seconds and a claimed top speed of 145 kph.
A key innovation is the introduction of a 1.6kW onboard charger, which Ultraviolette claims is the world’s most power-dense air-cooled unit, though full charging times are yet to be announced.
The adventure-touring intent is clear in the X47’s hardware. Suspension is handled by a 41mm USD fork and a monoshock, both offering a generous 170mm of wheel travel. Braking is managed by premium Brembo components, with a 320mm disc at the front. With a ground clearance of 208mm, the X47 is respectably equipped for light off-roading and rough roads, positioning it between street-focused nakeds and hardcore adventure machines. The bike rides on an all-new chassis with a cast aluminium subframe. As expected, the larger battery adds weight, with the top model tipping the scales at 207kg.
Positioning and Variants
The X47 Crossover’s pricing strategically places it in a competitive landscape. It sits above the KTM 250 Adventure (₹2.40 lakh) but below the KTM 390 Adventure X (₹3.03 lakh). Interestingly, it is also more affordable than Ultraviolette’s own F77 Mach 2, making it the brand’s new entry-point model.
For enthusiasts seeking exclusivity, a limited-edition X47 Desert Wing variant has also been announced, expected to feature a unique sand-coloured livery and additional touring accessories as standard. Ultraviolette will offer a full range of accessories, including soft luggage, crash guards, and panniers, allowing owners to customize their X47 for extended journeys.
