The electric vehicle landscape in India is about to get a lot more adventurous. Recent spy shots have captured a heavily camouflaged, yet seemingly production-ready, test mule of the Mahindra BE6 Rall-E. This isn’t just another electric SUV; it’s Mahindra’s bold foray into the rugged, off-road EV segment, signaling that the vehicle’s market debut is likely just around the corner.
Following its initial concept reveal in 2023 and a subsequent appearance at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo, this real-world testing phase confirms that the BE6 Rall-E is transitioning from a show-stopping concept to a tangible product. While an official launch date is still under wraps, the frequency of these sightings strongly suggests a market arrival sometime next year. This rugged variant will join Mahindra’s expanding electric portfolio, which also includes the upcoming XUV3XO EV and the XEV 7e 7-seater, both anticipated for a 2026 release.

The true transformation of the BE6 Rall-E lies beneath the surface. Mahindra is expected to equip this off-roader with a significantly upgraded powertrain. Moving beyond the options available in the standard model, the Rall-E version is likely to come standard with a larger 79 kWh battery pack for extended range.
More importantly, it is anticipated to feature a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. This configuration is projected to generate a combined output in the ballpark of 389 bhp and 480 Nm of torque. Such power would not only provide thrilling on-road performance but also the necessary grunt for challenging terrains.
