India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp, has taken a bold step in the electric mobility market with the launch of the Vida VX2, a sleek and feature-packed electric scooter. Positioned right below the V2 lineup, the VX2 aims to disrupt the competition with its compelling price point and innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan.
Hero Vida VX2 Pricing
The Vida VX2 has an attractive starting price of ₹99,490 (ex-showroom). However, Hero MotoCorp has introduced a unique BaaS option, allowing customers to opt for a battery subscription model. Under this plan, the scooter costs ₹59,490 (ex-showroom), with a rental cost of ₹0.96 per kilometer for battery usage. This pricing approach offers a substantially lower upfront cost, making electric mobility more accessible.
Battery and Charging Innovation

The Hero Vida VX2 comes with two removable batteries located under the seat. Unlike scooters like Honda’s Activa e, which rely on battery swapping stations, VX2’s batteries can be conveniently charged at home or in apartments. This flexibility makes it an excellent option for urban electric vehicle users.
Smart Features
Hero MotoCorp hasn’t held back in terms of features for the VX2. Highlights include:
- Advanced Tech: Fully digital color TFT display with GPS tracking and remote immobilization.
- Practical Design: Under-seat storage spacious enough for a helmet and a rear pillion backrest for more comfort.
- Premium Build: Alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish and front disc brakes for added safety.
- Convenience: LED lighting for all-around visibility and sophisticated switchgear for easy control of the non-touch instrument cluster.
Available Colors
The Hero Vida VX2 is available in five dynamic colors tailored to suit individual styles: Grey, Blue, Red, Yellow, and Black.
A Glimpse of the Launch

During the launch event, Hero MotoCorp revealed Bollywood superstar Anil Kapoor as the first proud customer of the Vida VX2. The event added a splash of glamour and underscored the scooter’s aspirational value.
Hero MotoCorp’s latest offering is set to compete head-on with electric scooters like Ola S1X, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak, and TVS iQube. Its combination of affordability, standout features, and bold design makes it a promising player in the growing electric mobility segment in India.
