Aprilia has just pulled the covers off its most extreme V4-powered creation yet: the RSV4 X-GP. Revealed during the Catalunya Grand Prix weekend, this track-only superbike is a powerful tribute to the 10th anniversary of the brand’s RS-GP prototype in MotoGP. With only 30 units being produced for the global market, the RSV4 X-GP is a rare collector’s item, designed for riders who demand the absolute pinnacle of performance. Priced at €90,000 before taxes, it represents the closest a private owner can get to riding a genuine Aprilia race machine.
The heart of the RSV4 X-GP is its familiar 1,099cc V4 engine, but it has undergone extensive tuning by the legendary Aprilia Racing department. The result is a staggering 238hp at 13,750rpm and 131Nm of torque at 11,750rpm. This is a significant jump from the standard RSV4 Factory’s already impressive 220hp and 127Nm. To unlock this extra power, engineers have implemented a higher compression ratio, a race-spec air filter, and a high-performance titanium dual-pipe exhaust system crafted by SC Project. These enhancements ensure the bike delivers the kind of raw, exhilarating performance expected from a machine with such a prestigious racing heritage.
Aerodynamics and Design Taken Directly from the Racetrack

Drawing direct inspiration from the current RS-GP25 MotoGP bike, the RSV4 X-GP features a breathtaking aerodynamics package and a striking livery. Its entire bodywork is constructed from lightweight carbon fiber by PAN Compositi, the same supplier that outfits Aprilia’s official racing teams. The intricate design includes prominent front winglets and a uniquely shaped tail section, which not only looks aggressive but also dramatically improves aerodynamic efficiency. Aprilia claims this advanced setup generates five times more downforce in a straight line and triples it during cornering compared to the standard RSV4, keeping the bike glued to the track at extreme speeds.

The commitment to track performance extends to every component. The bike is equipped with top-tier Öhlins racing suspension, featuring a fully adjustable pressurized front cartridge and a TTX monoshock at the rear. Braking power is supplied by Brembo GP4-MS calipers, a system trusted by top racers worldwide. The chassis rolls on ultralight forged magnesium Marchesini wheels, shod with Pirelli slicks developed for the World Superbike Championship. Even the electronics are race-grade, centered around an Aprilia Racing APX ECU. This advanced system, identical to the one used in Aprilia’s WSBK machines, allows for granular control over power delivery, traction control, and engine braking for each gear, and includes an integrated GPS module for in-depth telemetry analysis.

For the select few who acquire an RSV4 X-GP, the experience goes beyond just the motorcycle. The purchase includes a comprehensive package to support their track endeavors, featuring a laptop pre-loaded with software to manage the bike’s advanced electronics, tire warmers, titanium paddock stands, a custom floor mat, and a bike cover. This complete offering solidifies the RSV4 X-GP’s status as the ultimate track day weapon, blending a decade of MotoGP innovation with the soul of a true racing thoroughbred.
