Citroën C3X Coupe SUV Teased for India Ahead of Launch

The much-anticipated Citroën C3X has officially been teased for the Indian market, generating excitement among automobile enthusiasts. Positioned as a premium offering, the C3X is expected to build on the success of the Citroën Basalt while introducing new features and a design language that blends fastback styling with SUV characteristics.

Citroën India recently announced its “Citroën 2.0 – Shift Into the New” strategy, aimed at enhancing product appeal, market reach, and local consumer connection. With a strong focus on both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicle (EV) platforms, Citroën has invested over ₹5,300 crores in research, development, and localized production processes. This underscores the brand’s commitment to delivering innovative and accessible vehicles for Indian buyers.

Expanding Accessibility Across India

To ensure a broader reach, Citroën is expanding its retail network, which now boasts over 80 outlets, with plans to hit 150 touchpoints by the end of 2025. This strategy heavily targets Tier II, III, and IV cities, ensuring no customer is more than 100 km from a sales or service facility. Combined with a digitally optimized service framework, Citroën promises transparent pricing, real-time updates, and consistent after-sales quality throughout its network.

The teaser campaign for the C3X, featuring Citroën’s brand ambassador MS Dhoni, offers a glimpse of the model’s dynamic design and cutting-edge features. The coupe SUV is poised to combine rugged aesthetics with modern functionality, making it a standout competitor in both the midsize sedan and SUV segments.

All Eyes on the C3X’s Design and Performance

The teaser showcases the hallmark Chevron logo with double horizontal lines, complemented by a sloping roofline that leads to a notchback-style tailgate. Expect ample boot capacity, thanks to its innovative design. With features like LED daytime running lights (DRL), a split-headlamp cluster, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and large alloy wheels with bold cladding, the C3X embodies both functionality and elegance.

Additional highlights include a dual-tone red and black finish, bumper inserts, and a skid plate, all hinting at the vehicle’s off-road-inspired ruggedness. On the inside, buyers can anticipate a 10-inch infotainment system, fully digital instrumentation, and a host of modern comforts. New tech additions such as a 360-degree camera system further elevate its appeal.

Under the hood, the C3X is expected to feature a 1.2L turbo-petrol engine, offering robust performance for long-distance journeys while maintaining Citroën’s reputation for comfort. High localization levels are set to make the C3X competitively priced, ensuring it caters to a wide range of buyers seeking value in both price and features.

The Citroën C3X will continue to build on the automaker’s legacy of merging premium styling and practicality, making it one of the most awaited models for Indian roads.
