Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson have officially raised the bar for their collaborative lineup with the debut of the new flagship H-D X440 T. Priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom), this top-tier variant injects a significant dose of advanced technology and refined styling into the popular platform, solidifying its position as the most feature-rich model in the family.
A Technological Step Forward

Moving beyond the mechanical roots of its siblings, the X440 T introduces a suite of rider-focused electronics that mark a first for the model. The cornerstone is a ride-by-wire throttle system, which enables the introduction of selectable Road and Rain riding modes. This allows riders to tailor the engine’s character and responsiveness to suit conditions. Further boosting confidence and safety are switchable traction control and the ability to disengage rear-wheel ABS, giving experienced riders more control on varied terrain. A new Panic Braking Alert system also makes its debut, designed to warn following traffic during hard stops.
Refined Design, Enhanced Proportions

Beyond the tech, the X440 T addresses one of the most-discussed aspects of the original design: its rear profile. Harley-Davidson has re-engineered the motorcycle’s rear subframe, resulting in a completely new tail section and redesigned grab handles aimed at improving pillion comfort. This isn’t just a functional update—it transforms the bike’s stance. The visual gap between the rear wheel and fender is reduced, creating a more angular, cohesive, and muscular silhouette that gives the “T” a distinct identity compared to the Vivid and S variants. The update adds a modest 1.5kg, bringing the kerb weight to 192kg.
Powertrain & Portfolio Reshuffle

The heart of the X440 T remains the familiar and proven 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine, delivering 27hp and 38Nm of torque through a 6-speed gearbox. Performance is consistent with the lineup, but the experience is now augmented by its electronic aids.
With this new flagship’s arrival, the earlier Denim variant has been discontinued. This move means the entire X440 range now sports alloy wheels as standard, phasing out the spoke wheels that were exclusive to the Denim trim.
The revised X440 portfolio now starts at ₹2.34 lakh for the X440 Vivid, moves to ₹2.55 lakh for the X440 S, and peaks with the X440 T at ₹2.79 lakh. The flagship is offered in four colour options: Black, Red, Blue, and White.
Bookings for the Harley-Davidson X440 T open on December 7th at authorized Harley-Davidson and Hero Premia dealerships, with online reservations available through the official X440 website. This launch signals a clear intent from the alliance to evolve the platform technologically while refining its appeal for the discerning premium rider.
