Hero MotoCorp is shifting the electric vehicle scene into a higher gear. The company has officially teased the upcoming Vida VXZ, an electric motorcycle concept that signals a major expansion for its Vida sub-brand. Set to be fully unveiled in a matter of days, the VXZ promises a bold, streetfighter-inspired design that stands out as the most production-ready electric model from Hero to date.
The journey to this reveal has been intriguing. Initially teased under the name “Ubex” in a since-deleted social media post, the company has clarified its plans. The “Ubex” name will now be reserved for a separate, off-road-focused concept. Both machines are scheduled to make their global debut at the EICMA 2025 motoring exhibition in Milan, Italy, beginning November 4th.
A Closer Look at the Vida VXZ’s Design
Fresh teaser images provide a much clearer picture of the VXZ’s evolved design. Moving beyond earlier previews, the motorcycle now features a sharper, more aggressive front end. The headlamp is housed in a defined cluster, with a sleek LED daytime running light strip sitting above what appears to be a projector headlight.

The bike’s profile is dominated by a muscular, fuel-tank-like section that contributes to its streetfighter character. It’s complemented by a wide handlebar, suggesting an upright and commanding riding position. At the rear, the design is tidy, with a stepped, split-style seat and split grab rails adding a sporty touch.
The teasers also confirm practical elements like five-spoke alloy wheels and disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. Further enhancing its modern appeal, the VXZ is expected to use a belt drive system, a feature known for being clean, quiet, and low-maintenance compared to a traditional chain.
Performance and Potential
While Hero MotoCorp is keeping key performance figures like range, battery capacity, and power output under wraps for now, the teasers offer some intelligent clues about the bike’s engineering. The electric motor is expected to be mid-mounted, paired with a battery pack positioned low in the frame. This strategic placement is crucial for achieving a low center of gravity, which directly translates to better handling, agility, and stability.
Suspension duties are handled by upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, a setup common on performance-oriented motorcycles. The overall ergonomics and balanced weight distribution appear designed to allow for an engaging and aggressive riding style, true to its streetfighter inspiration.
Inside the cockpit, riders will likely be greeted by a full-color TFT instrument console. This screen would be the hub for various ride modes, turn-by-turn navigation, and a suite of connected vehicle technologies, bringing the Vida VXZ in line with modern rider expectations.
The overall design language seems to be a futuristic interpretation of Hero’s own Xtreme range of petrol motorcycles. Given its refined and detailed appearance in the teasers, the Vida VXZ looks remarkably close to a final production model. This suggests that Hero MotoCorp could be poised to launch it in the relatively near future, aiming squarely at the burgeoning mass-market electric motorcycle segment where significant potential remains untapped.
All will be revealed soon, as the official debut is just two days away.
