Honda CB125 Hornet Launched in India

The Honda CB125 Hornet has officially been introduced, marking an exciting addition to Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India’s 125cc segment lineup as the brand celebrates 25 years in the Indian market. Starting August 1, 2025, you can book the CB125 Hornet and the Shine 100 DX to experience the latest in two-wheeler innovation.

Engine & Performance

At the heart of the CB125 Hornet lies a 123.94 cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that generates 11 hp at 7,500 rpm and 11.2 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. Paired with a five-speed transmission, this powerful yet efficient engine sets a new standard in its class. Honda claims the CB125 Hornet is the quickest in its segment, accelerating from 0-60 km/h in just 5.4 seconds.

Weighing only 124 kg, the lightweight diamond-type frame ensures agile handling, making it a delight for city commutes and weekend rides alike.

The CB125 Hornet doesn’t just perform exceptionally; it’s also a head-turner on the road. The aggressive LED headlamp, high-mounted indicators, and muscular fuel tank shrouds exude a sporty persona. The ignition switch, stylishly placed on the tank, adds a modern touch, while the split seat setup enhances rider comfort.

The golden USD (upside-down) front forks are a standout feature, making the CB125 Hornet the first in its class to introduce this premium design element. A rear monoshock with 5-step adjustability ensures a smooth ride, and the braking system includes a 240 mm front disc with a 130 mm rear drum supplemented by single-channel ABS for safer stops. Tubeless tyres (80/100-17 in the front and 110/80-17 at the rear) further add to the ride quality.

Smart Technology for Modern Riders

The Honda CB125 Hornet is equipped with advanced technology to elevate the riding experience. A 4.2-inch TFT screen offers Bluetooth integration and smartphone connectivity, allowing seamless access to turn-by-turn navigation, SMS and call alerts, and music control via the Honda RoadSync app. Handlebar-mounted switches make toggling between these features safe and convenient.

Additionally, essential features like a USB Type-C charging port, engine stop switch, and a side-stand engine cut-off add to the convenience and safety.
