The wait is over for electric motorcycle enthusiasts. At the EICMA 2025 show, Honda pulled back the curtain on the complete technical specifications for its highly anticipated WN7, marking a significant milestone as the brand’s first full-size electric bike. This reveal, sharing the stage with new models like the CB1000GT and V3R, signals Honda’s serious commitment to an electrified future on two wheels.
The WN7 isn’t just a technological showcase; it has a clear mission. Honda is targeting a new generation of riders, specifically those ready to graduate from smaller gasoline-powered bikes but craving a more exciting and modern riding experience.
Power, Range, and Licensing Made Flexible
Understanding that riders have different needs, Honda offers the WN7 with a single 9.3kWh battery pack but two distinct motor configurations:
- An 11kW model producing 11.2kW of power, ideal for riders with an A1 license.
- A more powerful 18kW model that pushes 50kW of power.
Both versions deliver an impressive and unchanged 100Nm of torque from standstill, ensuring thrilling acceleration. This dual-option strategy cleverly qualifies the WN7 for both A1 and A2 licensing across Europe. Your choice also impacts range and top speed: the 11kW model claims a longer 153 km range, while the 18kW version offers a higher 129 kph top speed with a still-respectable 140 km range.
Charging and a Connected Ride

A key advantage of the WN7 is its flexible charging system. You’re not limited to slow charging; the bike supports both standard Type 2 connectors and the much faster CCS2 standard, commonly used for electric cars. This means shorter stops on longer journeys.
The riding experience is highly customizable. Riders can choose from four default modes—Standard, Sport, Rain, and Econ—which automatically adjust traction control settings. Furthermore, you can fine-tune the level of engine braking or regenerative braking on the fly. Using intuitive paddles on the left handlebar, you can adjust the deceleration power from zero (a coasting feel) up to level three (strong regenerative braking).
Confidence-Inspiring Chassis and Tech
Built around a sophisticated hollow aluminum monocoque frame that uses the battery as a structural member, the WN7 promises a rigid and lightweight setup. Handling is managed by a 43mm Showa USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by capable Nissin components, with dual-piston calipers on 296mm discs up front. Safety is paramount, with a Cornering ABS system linked to an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), all configurable through a modern 5-inch TFT dash that serves as the command center for the bike.
The unveiling of the WN7’s full specs is a definitive statement from Honda. It’s more than just a new model; it’s the start of a new chapter. Alongside other EICMA 2025 reveals like the E-Clutch equipped motorcycles and the V3R, the WN7 proves Honda is charging headfirst into a dynamic and electric future.
