Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle Unveiled: Price, Range, & Full Specs for Europe

Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle

Honda has officially pulled the covers off the WN7, marking a significant milestone as the company’s first full-size electric motorcycle. Initially launched for the European market, this new EV represents Honda’s serious commitment to the future of electric two-wheelers. While the world got a sneak peek with the intriguing ‘Fun’ concept at last year’s EICMA show, the production model confirms Honda’s intent to compete directly in the performance electric segment.

The WN7’s name is more than just a code. Honda explains that each character has a meaning: ‘W’ stands for ‘Wind,’ its development theme; ‘N’ signifies its aggressive ‘Naked’ bike styling; and ‘7’ denotes its power class. This thoughtful naming hints at the bike’s purpose-built design philosophy.

Performance and Powertrain

At its heart, the WN7 is designed to deliver a thrilling ride. Its water-cooled electric motor produces 18kW of power and a substantial 100Nm of instant torque. This output places its performance in the realm of a modern 600cc internal combustion engine, with torque figures that can even challenge larger litre-class bikes. Weighing in at 217kg, it promises agile handling to match its straight-line punch.

Understanding the diverse European licensing laws, Honda has also confirmed an 11kW variant will be available for riders with an A1 license.

Range, Charging, and Practicality

Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle Range

For many potential buyers, range and charging speed are the ultimate deciding factors. Honda claims the WN7 can travel over 130 kilometers on a single charge from its fixed lithium-ion battery pack. When it’s time to recharge, the bike supports CCS2 fast charging, allowing riders to go from 20% to 80% battery in just 30 minutes at a compatible public station. For home charging, a 6kVA wallbox can achieve a full charge from zero in under three hours, making it practical for daily commutes and longer weekend rides.

Design and Features

Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle Design

The production model stays remarkably true to the minimalist and sleek concept that turned heads at EICMA 2024. The design is clean and modern, highlighted by a distinctive single-sided swingarm that adds a touch of mechanical artistry. It comes equipped with a modern five-inch TFT display that offers EV-specific data menus and supports RoadSync for smartphone connectivity. Completing the premium package is full LED lighting. Buyers can choose from three color options: a striking gloss black with copper accents, a stealthy matte black, and a contemporary grey.

Honda has set the price for the WN7 at £12,999 (approximately ₹15.56 lakh). The company plans to hold the full global unveiling and detailed specification release at EICMA 2025 in November, with customer deliveries commencing shortly after. This strategic launch in Europe serves as a testing ground for what will likely become a global product, signaling a new electric chapter for the iconic Japanese manufacturer.
