In a significant endorsement of its safety credentials, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto has achieved a top 5-star rating in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests. The premium multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) demonstrated exceptional protection for both adults and children, solidifying its position as one of the safest vehicles in its category.
The tests, conducted in July 2025 on the Zeta+ and Alpha+ variants, evaluated the vehicle’s crashworthiness under rigorous new protocols. The Invicto posted an impressive 30.43 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP).
A Closer Look at the Crash Test Performance
The Invicto’s high score in adult protection stems from its robust performance in critical scenarios. During the frontal offset crash test, the vehicle’s structure effectively managed impact energy, while the side impact test resulted in a perfect score. This indicates that the MPV’s chassis and its suite of restraint systems—including airbags—worked in harmony to protect occupants.
For families, the child safety results are equally reassuring. When equipped with standard child seats, the Invicto achieved a full 24 out of 24 points in dynamic tests simulating collisions with child dummies. The assessment also awarded full marks for the ease and security of installing these child restraint systems.

Standard Safety That Builds Confidence
A key strength of the Invicto is that its high level of safety isn’t reserved for the top trim. Standard safety features across all variants include:
- Six airbags (front, side, and curtain)
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
- ABS with EBD
- Seatbelt pre-tensioners and load limiters for front passengers
- Three-point seatbelts for all seating positions
- ISOFIX child seat anchors on the second-row seats
Additional features like all-four disc brakes, a hill-hold assist function, and a tyre pressure monitoring system further contribute to proactive safety, helping to prevent accidents before they happen.
Commenting on this achievement, Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated, “Safety has always been at the heart of Maruti Suzuki’s product philosophy. We are honoured to receive the prestigious 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP assessment for our premium Strong Hybrid UV, INVICTO.”
This top rating provides concrete, data-driven reassurance for potential buyers, proving that the Invicto is engineered to offer peace of mind alongside its premium features and hybrid efficiency.
