This bold, all-electric SUV marks the brand’s first EV foray into the Indian market, landing with a starting price of ₹66.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Offered as a fully-imported CBU (Completely Built Unit) in an exclusive, high-performance John Cooper Works (JCW) trim, the Countryman EV is now open for bookings, with customer deliveries expected to begin soon. Design and Styling
The electric Countryman doesn’t whisper its arrival; it makes a confident statement. It’s immediately recognizable as a Mini, but with a tougher, more substantial presence. Key design cues like wider wheel arches, a sculpted bonnet, and distinctive flush door handles emphasize its modern electric identity. Available in Legend Grey or Midnight Black, both with a contrasting Jet Black roof, the SUV rides on standard 19-inch JCW alloy wheels that fill the arches perfectly.
Up front, the LED headlights are more than just illumination; they offer three selectable Daytime Running Light (DRL) signatures—Classic, Favoured, and a sporty John Cooper Works mode, allowing owners to personalize their car’s “face.” At the rear, redesigned matrix LED tail lights create a unique nighttime signature. This translates into exhilarating performance, with the ability to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a brisk 5.6 seconds, all the way to a top speed of 180 km/h.
When it’s time to recharge, the Countryman supports rapid charging. Using a 130 kW DC fast charger, the battery can be topped up from 10% to 80% in just 29 minutes—a rate that adds approximately 100 kilometers of range in about 8 minutes. For overnight charging, a 22kW AC charger will take the battery from 0 to 100% in 3 hours and 45 minutes.
The electric Countryman is more than just a mode of transport; it’s designed to be an experience. Drivers can toggle between different driving moods with Mini Experience Modes like Go-Kart, Green, and Vivid, all controlled through a central Toggle Bar Island that also manages key functions like gear selection and the parking brake.
