Nissan Magnite AMT CNG Launched: Price, Warranty & Key Features Explained

Nissan Magnite AMT CNG

In a significant move for cost-conscious urban drivers, Nissan Motor India has officially extended its factory-approved CNG retrofitment program to include the Magnite equipped with an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). This announcement comes on the heels of positive customer response to the CNG kit for the manual variant, solidifying the Magnite’s position as a versatile and economical compact SUV.

A More Refined CNG Experience

A key upgrade accompanying this expansion is a completely re-engineered fuelling system. The earlier setup, which required opening the hood to refill CNG, has been replaced with a far more convenient integrated fuel lid. Now, filling CNG is as seamless as filling petrol—a simple, single-point operation that enhances daily usability and brings a more factory-fitted feel to the vehicle.

This development makes the Nissan Magnite AMT a standout option in the Indian market, being one of the very few compact SUVs to offer a government-approved CNG kit paired with the ease of an automatic transmission.

Pricing, Warranty, and the GST Advantage

The new CNG retrofit kit for the Magnite AMT has been developed and rigorously validated by Motozen Fuel Systems. It comes with a robust standard warranty of three years or 100,000 kilometres, offering owners significant peace of mind.

Reflecting a recent reduction in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on CNG conversion kits—from 28% to 18%—Nissan has priced the kit at an ex-showroom rate of ₹71,999. Notably, the company has absorbed the cost of the new engineering improvements, choosing to pass the full benefit of the tax cut directly to the customer, making this an even more value-driven proposition.

Availability and What Else to Know

The Magnite AMT CNG retrofit option became available across authorized Nissan dealerships starting September 22, 2025. The program now spans 13 states and key regions, including Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

It’s important to note that the CNG retrofit is exclusively designed for the Magnite’s 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, which is compatible with both manual and AMT gearboxes. On the safety front, the Magnite continues its strong record, offering six airbags as standard across all variants and holding a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating for adult occupant protection.

Adding to its long-term value, Nissan also provides an industry-first 10-year extended warranty plan for the Magnite. This expansion of the CNG lineup reinforces Nissan’s commitment to the Indian market, which will soon see a new midsize SUV, a seven-seater, and an A-segment electric vehicle joining its portfolio.
