Ola Electric has supercharged the festive season with a blockbuster offer, temporarily slashing the starting price of its electric scooters to an eye-catching Rs. 49,999. The announcement is part of the company’s new “Ola Celebrates India” campaign, featuring a nine-day “Muhurat Mahotsav” designed to make EVs more accessible.
Unlike standard discounts, this initiative operates on a limited-quantity, first-come-first-served model. Each day, Ola will announce specific “Muhurat” purchase slots exclusively through its social media channels, creating a sense of urgency for potential buyers.
Unprecedented Entry Point
The headline-grabbing price of Rs. 49,999 applies to two base models for a limited run:
- The Ola S1 X equipped with a 2 kWh battery pack.
- The Roadster X motorcycle with a 2.5 kWh setup.
For riders seeking more power and range, the campaign also includes significant discounts on higher-tier models. The S1 Pro+ scooter (5.2 kWh) and the Roadster X+ motorcycle (9.1 kWh) are now available at Rs. 99,999. It’s worth noting that these top variants are powered by Ola’s proprietary 4680 ‘Bharat Cell’ batteries, a key part of the company’s long-term technology strategy.
Contextualizing the Offer
This aggressive pricing is a dramatic reduction from the standard retail prices. Outside this promotion, the S1 X portfolio starts at Rs. 81,999, while the S1 Pro+ is typically priced around Rs. 1.20 lakh. This move clearly positions Ola to capture a massive wave of festive shopping, making a compelling case for consumers who have been considering the switch to electric.
The campaign also shines a light on Ola’s broader product lineup. Beyond the promotional models, the company continues to sell its third-generation scooters and the newly unveiled Roadster motorcycle family in various configurations. The company recently confirmed at its ‘Sankalp’ event that deliveries for its flagship models—the S1 Pro+ (5.2 kWh) and Roadster X+ (9.1 kWh)—will commence this Navratri, priced at Rs. 1.69 lakh and Rs. 1.89 lakh, respectively.
Looking further ahead, Ola has announced its entry into the sport scooter segment with the S1 Pro Sport, scheduled for a January 2026 debut at an introductory price of Rs. 1.49 lakh.
For now, the focus is squarely on the present. Ola Electric’s Muhurat Mahotsav is a bold, time-bound strategy to accelerate adoption and dominate the festive market. Interested customers will need to stay alert to the company’s daily social media updates to secure one of these limited-offer vehicles.
