The Toyota Innova HyCross has achieved an impressive 5-star safety rating under the Bharat NCAP crash safety program. It scored 30.47 out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 45 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection, making it one of the highest-rated vehicles tested under the Indian standards. Built on Toyota’s robust TNGA-C platform, the HyCross excels in both safety and design.
Its comprehensive safety features include standard airbags for both driver and front passenger, belt pre-tensioners, and load-limiters. Side protection comes with curtain airbags across all three seating rows, and chest and pelvis airbags available in the front seats. However, knee airbags and rear chest/pelvis airbags are absent.

The model also prioritizes child safety with ISOFIX mounts in the rear seats and a manual front airbag cut-off feature. Additionally, advanced safety assist technologies such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), pedestrian protection systems, and seatbelt reminders for all rows contribute to its top-tier safety performance.
With its commitment to safety and innovation, Toyota has once again set a benchmark for crash protection in the MPV segment.
